Groups on Signal

ECO are the custodian of various groups on Signal.

When we create a group associated with a CEPT portal group, we will upload the access QR code on the portal. Only group members will be able to see this code. Signal groups are not publicly searchable in the Signal system.

If you holds a manageriable role on the CEPT group, as chair/vicechair etc. you will become admin on the Signal chat group. You are then in charge of maintaining the memberlist in the group.

If the CEPT group is small, it will be necessary to approve all members applying for access to the Signal group.

For larger groups - we will when the Signal group is openend, have free entrance for a period of time, and at a set point in time we will close for access, and require admin approval of access.
